The Grace in Action Conference

The Grace in Action Conference will bring us together as one church family, take our fellowship and biblical reflection beyond Sunday, integrate our intergenerational community, and better equip us to comprehend how God’s grace can change our lives.

Conference highlights include:

  • We will be hearing from Rev Dr Michael Jensen on how grace impacts our personal lives, relationships and communities. He will be drawing from the wisdom of the book of Romans.
  • Rachel Ciano will be speaking about the extraordinary woman Catherine Booth who co-founded The Salvation Army.
  • Members of our congregations will be sharing their stories of how God’s grace has impacted them personally.

Throughout our time together, we will spend some quality time in small groups, where we will share and unpack our responses to what we have heard and pray for each other. Food and fun often go together, so rest assured, we have planned for this as well as getting to know each other more deeply.

The kid’s program will include teaching, games, craft and a relaxed afternoon together. The program runs 8:45am – 3:00pm on Saturday 22 October 22 at church. The cost is $20 for adults, $10 for kids, and $60 for a family.

11:00am Special session The Practise of Grace: Catherine Booth and her life of Grace. Rachel Ciano + breakout groups Teaching, stories and craft
12:15pm Come together for a catered lunch + fun activities in our church gardens, as we wonder at the beauty of Grace.   Lunch
1:15pm Plenary session The Power of Grace: How can God’s grace transform our communities and our city? Michael Jensen + breakout groups Relaxed movie/games
2:00pm Landing session: Discussion and prayer Relaxed movie/games
2:30pm All-ages sharing and contemporary worship Relaxed movie/games
3:00pm Finish. Head home or stay around for coffee and further fellowship
